 At Skin & Body Studio , we use a natural hard wax that is perfect for all types of hair and all types of skin. With a lower heat and quicker drying time, this wax tends to be less painful in application and leads to a generally more pleasant overall waxing experience.

When body hair is too short, it can be difficult to fully remove it with wax. We know that many of our clients like to trim or keep clean in between appointments, but in order to prevent hair breakage or issues with your waxing experience, we ask that:

• Hair MUST be 1/4 inches long in order to properly remove it and prevent hair breakage ( size of a grazing of rice )
• 2 days prior to your appointment, make sure to exfoliate the area to be waxed
• Drink plenty of water to keep that beautiful skin hydrated and easy to wax.

  Almost impossible to answer due to everyone having a different scale for pain tolerance and what is painful for someone may not bother someone else. At Skin & Body Studio both our Esthetician and enhanced wax work together to offer you the most comfortable visit possible. If you’re still worried about sensitivity, we recommend taking an ibuprofen around 30 minutes before your appointment to help your comfort. Waxing 101: waxing monthly will help with sensitivity in any area as the hair grows back finer and sparser! 

 The best part is you’ll be hair-free for a minimum of 1-2 weeks following your wax appointment.  You should return approximately every 4 weeks for a waxing appointment.

 Just the opposite! your hair will not grow back thicker , fuller , or darker. Since we are pulling the hair from the root within time the hair starts to grow back sparser and thinner 

 We love our male clients. While we do offer waxing services for men such as chest, back, and arm waxing, there are some waxing services that we do not offer for men.  After your appointment, your skin is going to be sensitive. It’s important that you take really good care of it post-appointment to keep it smooth and prevent things like breakouts or ingrown hairs that can not only be painful, but also blemish that beautiful hair-free skin! To prevent this, after your appointment you should:

• Avoid exercise, tanning or swimming for 24 hours after your appointment to prevent breakouts
• Gently exfoliate the waxing area 2 days after your waxing appointment to prevent any ingrown hairs

 Please let your Esthetician know if you're on any medications. These medications decrease elasticity of the skin, the skin exfoliates at a faster rate so waxing could potentially remove skin as well as hair. Please be cautious of previous Professional Peels, or Micro-dermabrasions.  

 Guests are allowed in the studio room during an appointment. If under the age of 15, we invite a parent or guardian to be on hand. 

 When you maintain your waxing , hair grows back finer, sparser and thinner. Laser hair removal and Electrolysis doesnt work for every hair type. Shaving doesn't remove the hair, it cuts the hair, so the thickness and amount of hair remains the same.  Those treatments are also very expensive, which makes waxing a great option that's universal for all.
